On-Site Exercise

A key barrier to improved employee health is lack of time! The provision of on-site exercise options for employees has been found to be highly successful for many companies to promote regular exercise routines amongst staff. Group exercise sessions also encourage employees to interact in a "non-work" setting to develop relationships across various levels and types of staff whilst also improving their health. On-Site Gym Management

Some organisations have already established on-site gyms or have other equipment that they have purchased for employees that is being under utilised. Health-Core can work with you to manage these facilities including the establishment of WH&S standards of practice and promotional activities to maximise their usage.

Work-Site Recreation/Exercise Classes

For many organisations and employees on-site classes provide a cost-effective and fun way to promote regular activity amongst staff. HEALTH-CORE can co-ordinate and conduct on-site fitness classes including aerobic and circuit classes, group walking and running programs and relaxation and flexibility classes depending on the interest and facilities available. A popular series of recreational/exercise classes includes a number of classes conducted over 6-8 weeks to provide employees with a "taste" of a variety of exercise modes under the supervision of a qualified instructor (a Health-Core trainer). The aim is to allow employees to experience a variety of exercise types to increase their motivation and confidence to undertake an on-going regular exercise program. A series of 45-60 minute classes is conducted with a different activity featured each week.

Week 1 These Boots are made for Walking - a walking class teaching employees how to walk effectively with the correct pace and technique

Week 2 Circuit Class 1- an indoor circuit class using swiss balls and your own body weight providing people with exercise ideas they can easily do at home themselves

Week 3 Water Action - a water-based class to teach employees how they can design an effective exercise routine in the pool

Corporate Membership to Local Community Fitness Centres

With sufficient employee interest, HEALTH-CORE can offer corporate membership to a local fitness centre. This will provide employees with access to a wide range of health and fitness facilities and services, at a discounted rate. These facilities and services may include:

Individualised Exercise Programming

Information obtained from the health and fitness assessments allows for comprehensive exercise prescription for every individual. A program will be designed that is specific to an individual's health goals, lifestyle and interests.

Personal Training

For many individuals, personal guidance in all aspects of health and fitness will produce optimal results. A qualified "personal trainer" matched to their particular needs, can provide both specialist advice and motivation on a day-to-day basis for achievement of their health and fitness goals.
